Buckhorn’s reusable plastic 21" x 15" BinBox™ container streamlines
distribution operations by shipping straight from a supplier to a distribution
center’s (DC) order picking line or an assembler’s production line-without the
need or added cost for repacking. In closed loop distribution, the BinBox™ creates a
cost-efficient solution to one-way cardboard packaging-simply ship - pick - return -
reuse. From DC order picking to manufacturing assembly line operations, the BinBox™
has several unique design features that increase product handling efficiencies:
- Bi-directional
attached-recessed lid allows for easy loading, secure shipping, and quick picking.
- Patented double
interlocking finger lid design provides maximum strength, secure closure, and product
protection. Lid can be secured with ties for extra spillage/theft protection.
- Top quarter-half
lids open up-and-back for access through container top in flow racks or shelving.
- Hinged front gate
drops down to expand opening for easy access on picking or assembly lines.
- Containers stack and
nest for optimum space usage in trailers, warehouses, and on pallets.
- 60 lb. weight
capacity and reinforced ergonomic handles make lifting loaded containers easy.
- Fits most incline
flow racks or static shelving; works well with most automated systems.
- Injection molded
HDPE construction resists impact, moisture, and most chemicals.
Replacing cardboard packaging, the
BinBox™ 1) eliminates extra labor costs associated with cutting cardboard (a source
of primary packaging damage); 2) preserves product quality by reducing double handling; 3)
eliminates multiple shapes and sizes of packaging coming into a facility; and, 4) reduces
in-house waste and disposal costs. BinBox™ containers are reusable for more than 300
round trips-at a lower cost-per-trip than disposable cardboard packaging.
